Meet the coach
Arthur Hicks, the founder of Arthur Hicks Tennis, began his tennis journey at the age of 4 in his London backyard. He went on to compete on the Junior Circuit and later trained full-time at the prestigious Sergi Bruguera Academy in Barcelona.
Subsequently, Arthur earned an NCAA scholarship to become an accomplished tennis player at Lander University. With over 25 years of coaching experience, he is a U.S.P.T.R qualified tennis coach, catering to players of all levels, from beginners to advanced.
As a Twice Middlesex U21 Champion, Arthur's coaching career took off in London, leading him to become the Head Coach at the flagship Virgin Active Sports Centre in West London. His exceptional skills caught the attention of Sir Richard Branson, who recruited him to coach on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands. This experience kindled Arthur's love for the Caribbean, especially Virgin Gorda.
Driven by his passion for the region, Arthur founded Arthur Hicks Tennis in Spanish Town, BVI. His vision is to foster a safe and enjoyable environment for people of all ages to play and learn tennis, with the potential for skill growth and even pursuing professional careers or coaching roles in the tennis world.
Whether you're a youth or an adult, you can sign up for lessons or squads to experience Arthur's genuine
enthusiasm for tennis on the court. With his own tennis business in the BVI, Arthur feels blessed to work
in a place he cherishes, sharing his passion for the sport and ensuring an unforgettable experience for
everyone at Arthur Hicks Tennis.
